The wheels of justice are now turning. And for those who haven’t been paying attention or for those (myself included) who’ve thought that the DOJ was going to stop at prosecuting only hillbillies over the January 6th attack on the Capitol, this indictment and arrest has now changed the playbook. Kellye Sorelle getting indicted and arrested is a major win for the DOJ and the public at large.
That shows that the DOJ has finally moved into the upper classes for the January 6th Insurrection. She was a top attorney for the Oath Keepers, and as memory serves she was instrumental in advising Stewart Rhodes and other Oath Keepers to get rid of text messages and documents and other errata on their phones and computers shortly after the attack at the Capitol.
She was definitely high on the target list, and this now moves the DOJ into a higher sphere when it comes to charging higher level players that helped, funded or supported the insurrectionists. It’s very clear here that she wasn’t charged with sedition, which may mean that she decided to cooperate against those higher up than her to avoid such a charge.
