Mayor Wants Girls to See Other Girls Playing Bass, Drums
April 8, 2015 – Boton Mayor Marty Walsh is declaring April 9th “Riot Grrrl Day” to help young girls and women “see other girls picking up drumsticks, basses and microphones.” The proclamation is timed with a Thursday night concert of original activist-musician Riot Grrrl Kathleen Hanna.
