OCT 22, 2011 - Rapper Immortal Technique spoke his mind in a WeAreChange video hitting on politics, war, immigration, race and more from Occupy Wall Street. He said, "This is one of the best expressions of democracy that people have seen in America for the past few decades. Unlike the Tea Party, this is organic; it's not corporate-funded, it's not funded by the Koch brothers. This isn't a re-election campaign for Obama. We're willing to put his second term on the altar of democracy and sacrifice it if we need to." He said everyone should do that to send a message that the movement demands real change, not superficial. Check out the interview below.

Rapper David Banner has thrown his support behind the Occupy Wall Street movement, and has called on everybody to stop separating ourselves and work together to solve our problems. He doesn’t like how Republicans leaders and even other Americans were putting down the Occupy protesters saying, "I hear comments like, they need to work hard or they need to take baths. Like, dude, why would you even say that about your people? Regardless of whether we agree with each other or not, we're all American. This is even our opportunity to show the side of the people, to allow people to really talk, especially the young people."

Banner also talked about how currently the movement has no “one leader”, but he admires how all the people out there are willing to get out there and make a stand. He added, "It's bad that it takes pain to unite people, but [it's good] to see people from all walks of life, all colors, all creeds come together to try to make something happen." In an MTV video he said, “to see Americans fight is something I am so very proud of. I just really wanted more than anything to be a part of." So, he went down to Zucotti Park and paid a visit, and below is the video of his experience.

Rap-musician and activist Lupe Fiasco tweeted (click here to read tweet and see pic) to let his fans know he was donating 50 tents for Occupy Wall Street, in a show of solidarity with the movement. One of the "sponsors" of the event is Adbusters.org, and on their website it states, "The time has come to deploy this emerging stratagem against the greatest corrupter of our democracy: Wall Street, the financial Gomorrah of America." In addition, Lupe Fiasco also wrote a poem. (click "Read More" below to read poem)

"A bazaar in Libya's rebel capital of Benghazi might not appear to be the most obvious place to find a would-be Jay-Z.

But 18-year-old Boge and many others like him are pushing the boundaries of freedom of expression across the Middle East. The rappers have even been credited with helping to spark the so-called Arab Spring uprisings that deposed three long-serving dictators and rocked several other regimes.

Boge, who says he learned English from rap, is following in the footsteps of his hip-hop heroes KRS-One, Nas and Ice Cube.

"Our families are dying but yeah we're still tough, Gadhafi is trying to assassinate us," he rhymes during an impromptu performance amid vendors selling flags, shirts and hats in revolutionary colors at a market in the eastern Libyan city where the revolt against Moammar Gadhafi began."
