OCT 29, 2012 – At a concert in Louisiana, Madonna spoke to her fans and was urging them to vote and "endorsed" Obama, and there are reports that some of the fans in the audience started booing her and a few even walked out of the show. It reminded me of the CSNY tour in 2008 when fans would boo CSNY and walk out when they sang, "Let's Impeach the President". She was telling her audience, "Who's registered to vote? I don't care who you vote for, just as long as you vote for Obama!" When some fans started to boo she then said, "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for…Do NOT take this privilege for granted. Go vote!"
Of course, our Electoral College system completely erases any votes for Obama in Louisiana, so it really doesn't matter in the Presidential election, but there are still representatives, senators and local government officials to vote for. So, JTMP agrees with Madonna; don't take our ability to vote and self-govern for granted…VOTE!! Many places you can register to vote early in-person, so check your state's election website.
