SEP 12, 2013 - A new play called "Woody Sez", portraying the music and activism of the legendary activist-musician Woody Guthrie, is being put on by the Cleveland Play House. It is directed by Nick Corley and David M. Lutken, and features all his great songs such as "This Land is Your Land", "The Ballad of Tom Joad", and "Bound For Glory" to name just a few. SEP 4, 2013 - Cajun musician Drew Landry has been very active in his community, ever since the Gulf Oil Spill BP disaster wreaked havoc on the health of humans, fish and their way of life in Louisiana back in 2010, motivated enough to testify at a BP Gulf Oil Spill committee hearing, using his music as his testimony. SEP 4, 2013 - Christine Aguilera posted her new music video "Let There Be Love" on her YouTube Channel and Facebook page saying to her fans and the LBGT community fighting for their civil rights, "This one is just for you!" with #LetThereBeLove as the hashtag. The song comes from her 2012 album, "Lotus", and features people flashing the "L sign" signifying love, and holding signs that say "Just Be" and other positive messages about everyone accepting everyone as they are and the awesome diversity of life. SEP 30, 2013 - Matt Sorum, who used to drum for Guns N' Roses and now drums for Velvet Revolver with Slash, Dave and Duff, joined the protest against the horrible annual dolphin hunt in a the remote Japanese village Taiji recently. Matt is a great musical activist that also played the "Giving 2010" benefit concert for Musicares, but also went all the way around the world to physically join the protest against the unspeakable and despicable dolphin hunt that occurs in this small village every year. This horrific event was captured in the moving and Oscar-winning  film "The Cove", and Matt shared the TakePart.com article about it on his website where David Kirby described it best by writing, "a six-month orgy of mass terror, suffering, kidnapping and bloodshed and slaughter inflicted upon hapless pods of whales and dolphins unlucky enough to swim near the coast of Japan's Kuman-nada Sea." AUG 30, 2013 - Crazy Uncle Ted is at it again, this time in an email interview with rightwing rag MyDesert.com calling the Obama Administration a "regime", and saying they are "criminal" and dismantling "the greatest quality of life in the history of mankind." He also then mind farts, "As an American constantly attacked by the leftist goons in the media & politics, I am performing the most important office in the land; we the people spotlighting cockraches. Nothing is off the table, and I can and will do whatever is necessary to oust the enemies of America from their corrupt stranglehold on us." Is Nugent referring to armed insurrection by him and the Teabagger gunnuts? He then incredulously stole the civil rights struggle's mantra mind farting, "I am encouraging and inspiring more and more Americans to stand up to the scammers and gun runners and racists in office across the land. We shall overcome." OMFG. Once again, Teabaggers are calling the people who point out racism "racists".
