OCT 13, 2012 - In an attempt to show balance here at JTMP, I wanted to list the conservative musicians that have come out in support of Mitt Romney, although it seems very short to when compared to Obama. On Romney's site, he starts out with "Lynyrd Skynyrd's Frontman" endorsing him, that being Ronnie's little brother Johnny Van Zandt; but the rest of the musicians in Lynyrd Skynyrd are Obama supporters (and some think Ronnie would be supporting Obama if still alive). Gene Simmons of Kiss has come out vocally in support of Romney, and Kid Rock played at a rally, and one of his songs is used at Romney rallies frequently. Trace Adkins, who is frequently very active in issues and politics, has thrown his support behind Governor Romney; and of course the crazy nutbag Ted Nugent has "endorsed" Romney. 

That's about it, I could only find 5. There may be lesser-known musicians who have come out in support, but as for anybody recognizable I can find only a handful while the list of Obama musician supporters probably number in the hundreds. OCT 13, 2012 - Bruce Springsteen had said earlier that he will not be playing music at any Obama rallies this year, but the Obama campaign has announced he has changed his mind and will play a Pima, Ohio event with VP Joe Biden. JTMP will post any video when it comes out, for now here is Bruce campaigning for Obama in Ohio back in 2008.

OCT 13, 2012 - Activist musician Miley Cyrus, has come out in support (well, we kind of knew it anyway) of President Barack Obama. She Tweeted a pic of herself with an Obama t-shirt. She is also involved with "Rock The Vote" and has urged her fans and everyone to register to vote and vote, and we totally agree!  Many states have their registration still open, and some places like here in DC you can register on voting day. Make sure you VOTE!

OCT 13, 2012 - Activist musician Bruce Springsteen, known for his support of unions and the working man (or woman!), will be campaigning for President Barack Obama in Ohio where unemployment has plummeted due to President Barack Obama's bailout of the auto industry and stimulus funds helping middle class working folks out. He will surely be singing his working class anthem, "We Take Care of Our Own" which Obama uses at his rallies. Read more on NBC News.com here.

OCT 10, 2012 - Yekaterina Samutsevich, one member of the punk music activist band "Pussy Riot" that has been imprisoned for a free speech action at the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow, was freed yesterday after she unexpectedly won her appeal. Her two other bandmates remain in prison, and JTMP calls for their release also.  Some are saying that her changing her lawyers, whom supposedly Putin didn't like, had something to do with her release.
