JTMP Agrees, Lets Tone Down Campaign During Sandy, While FEMA Helps Those in Need

OCT 29, 2012 – JTMP agrees with both Presidential campaigns toning down the politics while Storm Sandy threatens life on the east coast. However, this is also a time to remember how crucial and necessary federal governmental agencies are in times of crisis, and some candidates have been running around saying they would "scrap FEMA", and propose budgets that would cut funding to FEMA and other important and necessary governmental organizations we as Americans relay on. So, let's tone down the campaign, yes….and thank FEMA for being there and being funded by taxes. JTMP calls for more funding for FEMA, and less to civilian defense contractors.

If you need help or you want more information on Storm Sandy from the great and awesome, governmental organization called FEMA, check out their webpage here, and remember issues like FEMA when you go to the voting booth next month. To help those in need, please donate to the American Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/

Rolling Stones Get Political, Sing Against “Gloom and Doom”

OCT 15, 2012 – One of the longest running bands ever, The Rolling Stones, just released a studio track that dabbles into "politics" in a way, and actually sounds pretty good. Keith Richards has come out with another great riff, and the whole band seems energized and the tune really rocks. The song is called "Gloom and Doom" and I came away after listening to it that they are alluding to conservatives in Europe and America that are crying "gloom and doom" unless we eviscerate entitlements. Mick has still got it, and sings about the economic hardships everybody is facing, and seems to break it down to a common way of looking at it and singing about getting a headache over it all.

In a pretty cool "lyric" video for "Gloom and Doom" they just released (watch below) they fight back at the conservative's claim that "entitlements are making us broke", by pointing out  that unfunded billions have been spent on unnecessary wars singing, "Lost all that treasure in an overseas war, it just goes to show you don't get what you paid for." Then Mick and the boys take a swipe at the 1% singing, "Battle to the rich and you worry about the poor." In the third verse they even sing out against FRACKING saying, "Fracking deep for, but there's nothing in the sump!" Check out the new video below.

DEVO: “Don’t Roof Rack Me Bro!” (Seamus Unleashed)

SEP 20, 2012 – DEVO has come out with a "political" song called "Don't Roof Rack Me Bro! (Seamus Unleashed)", even though they say it is more of a statement against Romney, and not necessarily in support of President Obama. Jerry Casale of DEVO comes at it from more of an animal lover angle, which many people are, and we were all absolutely horrified when we learned Mitt Romney put his dog Seamus in a doggie cage, strapped it to the roof of his car, and drove hundreds of miles with the poor critter in terror for hours.

Jerry Casale tells Rolling Stone, "This isn't a red-state thing or Devo stumping for Obama," he says. "But I think any animal lover that hears the story will learn so much about the character flaw of Romney. It's just a deal-breaker about the man. My God, the world is a scary place with seven billion people. What you want in a leader is a guy with some humanity at his core. I just don't feel that Mitt does."

RS also asked Jerry if he approved of President Obama's job performance for the past 3 years, and he said,  "No!" he says. "Absolutely not. Devo are not naive people. If anyone still thinks that the President of the United States of America runs things, they really live in the Wizard of Oz-land. My God, we're a plutocracy. We're owned and leveraged by global corporations." Read more on RS here, and watch DEVO's music video of "Don't Roof Rack Me Bro!" below.

Nicki Manaj isn’t registered to Vote for Romney or Obama

AUG 6, 2012 – Rapper Nicki Manaj, who raised eyebrows rapping an endorsement for Mitt Romney in the Lil' Wayne song "Mercy", has been exposed as not even being registered to vote; so she can't vote for either candidate. In the days after the "endorsement" being discovered, people bombarded her and after a quick Google search and research HipHopWired uncovered the fact she has never bothered to register to vote EVER in the 3 states she has lived in.

The "Mercy" remix has these lines in it:

"I got more money , in in my f*cking purse /Court side, you in the C Section, I'm with them bloods you you with the C Section /In Malibu I'm bout a sea section /And all these b*tches is my sons, yeah C-Section /I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy b*tches is f*cking up the economy /Out in Miami I be chilling with a zombie /Diablo Alejandro de Mello Gandhi""

But many people in the entertainment field are scratching their head, because she supports Obamacare and called for free medical care for all on NecoleBitchie.com back in July. The Mitt Romney campaign is uneasy about the "endorsement", but being that the song lyrics don't make much sense, no one knows what is really going on in her motivation to rap that line. JTMP urges anyone who hasn't registered to vote to do it now; and make sure you check your state Voter ID (voter suppression) laws and assure you have all correct and necessary ID and documentation with you when you go to vote. Also, make sure your address and other information for your voter registration is up-to-date and correct. Sites that can help you:

Tom Morello tells Paul Ryan, “Dude, YOU are what we Rage Against!”

AUG 17, 2012 – In an apparent "whoosh over their head" moment, Paul Ryan has been listening to Rage Against the Machine for years, and has recently said they were among his favorite bands, and did not know the whole time it was the policies he promotes and votes for that the whole Rage Against the Machine rages against! Tom Morello straightened him out in a blistering Op Ed in Rolling Stone magazine saying, "Paul Ryan is clueless about his favorite band, Rage Against the Machine." He added, "[Paul Ryan's] vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent is antithetical to the message of Rage".

Tom Morello also said, "I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta "rage" in him: A rage against women, rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a age against the environment." Ted Nugent goes on another rant at CBS reporter

MAY 7, 2012 – Ted Nugent, who recently went on a rant at a NRA convention using violent and extreme rhetoric, has once again went off, this time at CBS reporter Jeff Glor saying, "I'm an extremely loving and passionate man, and people who investigate me honestly, without the baggage of political correctness, ascertain the conclusion that I'm a damned nice guy … and if you can find a screening process more powerful than that, I'll s*ck your d**k." Then he turned to the female producer and said, "Or I'll fuck you, how's that sound?" Watch the video below.
