AUG 4, 2012 – Hank Williams Jr. is doubling down on his extremist rhetoric. Performing at the Stockyards Music Festival he said President Obama "is a Muslim, hates the military, hates America, hates cowgirls, hates cowboys, hates fishing, loves gays, and we hate him!"

President Obama Appoints Shakira to Key Education Post

Shakira has been appointed to the Presidents Advisory Council on Excellence in Hispanic Education along with Nancy Navarro and Kent P. Scribner. Shakira has been a tireless advocate and activist around the world for children's education recently. Shakira was born in Columbia, and always remembered the need for better education for children especially for those in poverty, and now uses her fame to really help a cause that is near and dear to her.

In a statement President Obama said, “I am grateful that these impressive individuals have chosen to dedicate their talents to serving the American people at this important time for our country. I look forward to working with them in the months and years ahead."
