The award ceremony will be held later his year. 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the Executive Order signed by President John F. In a statement President Obama said, "The Presidential Medal of Freedom goes to men and women who have dedicated their own lives to enriching ours. This year's honorees have been blessed with extraordinary talent, but what sets them apart is their gift for sharing that talent with the world. It will be my honor to present them with a token of our nation's gratitude."

The White House website said about Ms. Lynn that she "is a country music legend. Raised in rural Kentucky, she emerged as one of the first successful female country vocalists in the early 1960s, courageously breaking down barriers in an industry long dominated by men. James Taylor “I was motivated by Bush…”

DEC 8, 2012 - James Taylor, who played at the DNC in Charlottesville, NC and was a HUGE supporter of President Barack Obama, held a luncheon at the National Press Club yesterday (DEC 7) here in DC and discussed what motivated him to go out and do all that stump work for Obama to try to get him re-elected. “I was hugely motivated … by eight years of Cheney-Bush," adding that he felt the Iraq war was, "unpardonable. I felt that it was inept, corrupt and opaque.” He called the conservative effort to restrict voting as a "solution without a problem", and cites the need for Republicans to work with the Democrats to help us solve our fiscal crisis. But Mr. Taylor does NOT think raising the eligibility age for Medicare, cutting Social Security or other social programs is the way to solve our crisis. "We may have to over the cliff." Fox and Friends claim conspiracy Behind “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” as “Rushed” and is Obama Re-Election Concert

tag

NOV 2, 2012 - Fox and Friends complained about the "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" telethon concert that will be on the NBC Universal network tonight saying,"Where are the conservative musicians?" They also appeared to be hinting at a conspiracy by the Democrats and the Left as hypocrites because Kanye West attacked President George W. Bush's slow response to Hurricane Katrina. They also said the Katrina fundraiser was ten days after the hurricane, but this concert is only 3 days after, and is purposely being "rushed" as to be before the election and the concert can be a campaign rally for President Barack Obama.

First off, not all the musicians and artists have been announced, Secondly, there are only 5 conservative musicians (JTMP did a post on them last month) and who knows, maybe Kid Rock will make an appearance. Thirdly, the reason the Left is not attacking President Obama is because he is responding to the crisis quickly and efficiently, unlike Bush and Brownie. Watch the video from HuffPo of Fox and Friends losing their minds below, and tune in tonight to the NBC Universal network concert tonight, and please help out Americans in need.

OCT 28, 2012 - Rolling Stone has an article out with an interview with the legendary Chuck Berry who remarks about how far our country has come from his childhood when it comes to racism, and how there is an African-American President. He also talks about his fading health that has been a concern for everyone who loves this Titan of Rock and Roll.  (Photo credit: CC/Håkan Henriksson)

Here is an excerpt from the RS Article:

"At one point, Rolling Stone asked Berry how far the country has come since the days he played segregated venues throughout the South. Berry paused for a moment. "I never thought that a man with the qualities, features, and all that he has, [could] be our President," he said. "My dad said, 'You may not live to see that day,' and I believed him. I thank God that I have." Berry stopped for several seconds while his eyes welled up. "Excuse me," he said."
