Neil Young Joins “Honor the Treaties” Campaign, Tweets Against Tar Sands and Canada’s Harper

Sleater-Kinney Reunite At Pearl Jam Show

DEC 2, 2012 – Sleater-Kinney, the alt-rock girl activist band that JTMP featured back in 2006 when we were just getting started, reunited at a Portland, Oregon Pearl Jam show last Friday night. This was the first time they had been together on stage live since 2006, and they jammed out to the Neil Young song "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World". Watch the YouTube video below. SEP 23, 2013 – Farm Aid 2013 was held this weekend, and the first footage to come out of the Saratoga Springs, New York event are out, and it is the founder of Farm AidNeil Young; playing a solo set on his acoustic guitar. Farm Aid's work is really important these days, with corporations such as Monsanto trying to buy up the family farms and ruin our food supply. Pegi & Neil Young hold concert for their Bridge School

Aug 13, 2012 – Pegi and Neil Young held another benefit concert for their Bridge School, a school that JTMP has reported on numerous times where they help kids with special needs using innovative techniques. Many musicians were on hand to help out, such as Bruce Springsteen, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Simon and Garfunkel, The Pretenders (see video below!) and of even the man himself, Neil Young. Neil Young was working with Steve Jobs on the next generation iPod

Feb 1, 2012 – Neil Young was working with Steve Jobs shortly before his death on the possible type of music file to be used on the next generation iPod musical device. Young was trying to convince Steve Jobs that High Resolution Audio files, instead of MP3 or even the iTunes AAC files, sounded more real and life-like, and sounded as close as possible as it it did to the artist in the studio and should be used in the digital world. The issue is those files are much larger, and portable devices are limited by their storage size. Perhaps Young was urging Jobs to concentrate on getting the largest storage device possible in the next models of iPods to come out. Read more on FoxNews.com here.
