Garth Brooks Called Out the Stupidity of Teabagger House Obstructing President Obama in 2011

August 18, 2013 - Thanks to Gray Warrior on Democratic Underground, JTMP found a nugget from way back in 2011. Attending the Point of Light Institute ceremony honoring former President George H.W. Bush on March 21, 2011, country legend Garth Brooks gave an interview to CNSNews and really hammered into the obstructionist Teabagger Republican US Congress really giving Obama a hard time in letting him do his job. Brooks said, ""Yeah, I think what President Obama is finding out is all that we want to do, the system kind of doesn't allow the most powerful guy in the world to kind of do his job and I'm sure nobody's more frustrated than him to complete those promises that he did and I think he's trying his heart out. I love him to death and I fully support him and I just wish him well because it's got to be hell in that office."

Garth Brooks then added, "It just seems like we vote for things because they're  Republican or Democratic. I think we should vote for them because they're right or wrong and we kind of have seemed to have fallen into that trap so that would be the one warning I would give all us. Put down where you're from and what flag you fly under and let's get to putting the best person, man or women in the office and let's start making some strides. For me, it's if my guy didn't get in then I drag my feet for four years and we don't get anywhere and if my guy gets in, you drag your feet for four years and we don't get anywhere. We've got to stop doing that." Read more on CNSNews.com here. Watch the 2011 full concert below with Reba, Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Garth Brooks below. James Taylor "I was motivated by Bush..."

DEC 8, 2012 - James Taylor, who played at the DNC in Charlottesville, NC and was a HUGE supporter of President Barack Obama, held a luncheon at the National Press Club yesterday (DEC 7) here in DC and discussed what motivated him to go out and do all that stump work for Obama to try to get him re-elected. “I was hugely motivated … by eight years of Cheney-Bush," adding that he felt the Iraq war was, "unpardonable. I felt that it was inept, corrupt and opaque.” He called the conservative effort to restrict voting as a "solution without a problem", and cites the need for Republicans to work with the Democrats to help us solve our fiscal crisis. But Mr. Taylor does NOT think raising the eligibility age for Medicare, cutting Social Security or other social programs is the way to solve our crisis. "We may have to over the cliff." Read more on TrailBlazersBlog.DallasNews.com here, and also on Go.Bloomberg.com here.  Thanks to C Larson on YouTube for the video below of James Taylor singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" at the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony he was also in town for. (Photo credit: CC/Paul Keleher)

Fox and Friends claim conspiracy Behind "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" as "Rushed" and is Obama Re-Election Concert

NOV 2, 2012 - Fox and Friends complained about the "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" telethon concert that will be on the NBC Universal network tonight saying,"Where are the conservative musicians?" They also appeared to be hinting at a conspiracy by the Democrats and the Left as hypocrites because Kanye West attacked President George W. Bush's slow response to Hurricane Katrina. They also said the Katrina fundraiser was ten days after the hurricane, but this concert is only 3 days after, and is purposely being "rushed" as to be before the election and the concert can be a campaign rally for President Barack Obama.

First off, not all the musicians and artists have been announced, Secondly, there are only 5 conservative musicians (JTMP did a post on them last month) and who knows, maybe Kid Rock will make an appearance. Thirdly, the reason the Left is not attacking President Obama is because he is responding to the crisis quickly and efficiently, unlike Bush and Brownie. Watch the video from HuffPo of Fox and Friends losing their minds below, and tune in tonight to the NBC Universal network concert tonight, and please help out Americans in need.

RS: Chuck Berry Praises Obama's Presidency

OCT 28, 2012 - Rolling Stone has an article out with an interview with the legendary Chuck Berry who remarks about how far our country has come from his childhood when it comes to racism, and how there is an African-American President. He also talks about his fading health that has been a concern for everyone who loves this Titan of Rock and Roll.  (Photo credit: CC/Håkan Henriksson)

Here is an excerpt from the RS Article:

"At one point, Rolling Stone asked Berry how far the country has come since the days he played segregated venues throughout the South. Berry paused for a moment. "I never thought that a man with the qualities, features, and all that he has, [could] be our President," he said. "My dad said, 'You may not live to see that day,' and I believed him. I thank God that I have." Berry stopped for several seconds while his eyes welled up. "Excuse me," he said."
