Mohsen Namjoo, an Iranian musician recently played at the National Endowment for Democracy's award ceremony, for the 2010 Democracy Award. This year the award went to the Iranian people and their Green Movement. Several Congresspeople were there, as well as activists and journalists. Mohsen was given a 5 year jail sentence 1 year ago, and is afraid to go back home or he will face arrest and detention, for some of his songs upset the Islamic Regime.
